Established in 1935, this faculty trains qualified personnel in history, archaeology, archival science, ethnology and other areas, who are working productively in many organizations in the republic and abroad.
It should be noted that among the graduates of the faculty, about 10 academicians, winners of numerous state awards, and famous representatives of science have emerged. Several scientific schools formed at the faculty over the years continue their scientific traditions in the field of history today.

On October 17, an international scientific and practical conference on the theme “90 years of the Faculty of History of the National University of Uzbekistan: a center of education and science” was organized at the National University of Uzbekistan in connection with the anniversary of the Faculty of History.
Like a number of faculties of the National University, the Faculty of History is considered one of the leading departments of the university with its glorious past, traditions, and great scientific potential.
