A legacy of 90 years of education and science
The conference is attended by well-known historians, scientists, researchers, heads of specialized scientific and research institutions and higher education institutions from more than 10 countries. They expressed their opinions on the scientific potential of the faculty, the quality of education and its place in historiography.
The Faculty of History has been rendering invaluable service not only in the development of historiography in our country, but also in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, respect for national values and devotion to science.
Over its 90 years of activity, the faculty, while preserving strong scientific traditions, has introduced new approaches in line with modern educational standards. Professors and teachers have created a number of textbooks, educational and methodological manuals in order to develop historical thinking in students, arouse interest in scientific research and form independent analytical skills.
—Founded in 1935, this faculty has been training highly qualified personnel for such areas as history, archaeology, archival science, and ethnology. They are successfully operating not only in the republic, but also in foreign countries, - said the rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Professor Inomjon Majidov.
Among the graduates of the faculty, about 10 academicians, winners of numerous state awards and famous scientists have emerged. This tradition is consistently continued today.
The 90-year activity of the Faculty of History is a symbol of not only vast experience in the field of education and science, but also dedication to preserving the history of the Motherland, national values and scientific heritage.
